Data Apprenticeships at Bauer

We’re looking for two apprentices to join our Data team at Bauer.

These are entry-level roles, so you don’t need to have worked in data, software, or tech before. You might be leaving school or college, changing direction, or simply someone who enjoys solving problems, asking questions and figuring out how things work.

What matters most is your attitude. We’re looking for people who are curious, keen to learn, open to feedback and ready to get stuck in.

You’ll be supported by experienced people in the team, given time to learn, and encouraged to build your skills step by step.

The roles

We have two apprenticeship opportunities available:

  • 1x Scrum Master Apprentice
  • 1x Data Analyst Apprentice

Each role is a little different, but all of them are about learning, problem-solving, working with others and helping Bauer use technology and data in smart, useful ways.

Scrum Master Apprentice

A Scrum Master helps a team stay organised and work well together.

In this role, you won’t be expected to manage people or know everything about project management from day one. You’ll learn how technology teams plan their work, keep track of tasks and make sure everyone knows what needs to happen next.

You might help with things like:

  • Organising team catch-ups
  • Helping the team keep track of tasks
  • Making sure updates are shared clearly
  • Spotting when something is blocking progress
  • Supporting the team to work in a calm and organised way
  • Learning how projects move from an idea to something that gets delivered

This role could suit someone who enjoys working with people, likes being organised, and is good at seeing the bigger picture.

You don’t need to be highly technical, but an interest in data, technology or how teams get things done would be helpful.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

A Data Analyst helps turn information into something people can understand and use.

In this role, you’ll learn how to collect, clean and explore data, then use it to answer questions or spot patterns. You might help create reports or dashboards that show teams what is happening in the business and help them make better decisions.

You might work on things like:

  • Looking at data in spreadsheets
  • Learning basic coding or data tools
  • Helping build reports and dashboards
  • Turning numbers into clear charts or summaries
  • Asking teams what information they need
  • Exploring data to find useful insights

This role could suit someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving puzzles, spotting patterns or asking “what does this actually mean?”

You don’t need to have used specialist data tools before. If you’ve used Excel, tried a bit of coding, or just enjoy thinking logically, that’s a great starting point.

Who we’re looking for

For either of these roles, you don’t need previous professional experience. We’re looking for people who are at the start of their career and ready to learn.

You’ll probably enjoy these apprenticeships if you are:

  • Curious
  • Interested in technology, data or problem-solving
  • Comfortable asking questions
  • Open to feedback
  • Patient when things don’t work straight away
  • Able to think logically
  • Happy working with other people
  • Willing to learn new tools and skills

We don’t expect you to know all the answers. In fact, asking questions is part of the job.
