Job Description

If so, we've got an exciting Dental Nurse Apprentice opportunity within our friendly and supportive team at Riveredge Dentistry in Sunderland – read on to find out more.

Full-time, fixed-term apprenticeship (24 months) – 36.25 hours per week

  • Working pattern: Monday is your dedicated college/study day, with practice hours Tuesday–Thursday 8:30am–5:15pm and Friday 8:30am–4:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Starting rate: National Living Wage
  • Training: Fully funded training, supported by our experienced Dental Nurses and clinicians, with an external training provider guiding you through your qualification
  • Work environment: Learn in a modern, fully private practice with four surgeries and a team of five dentists, including an Implantologist, providing general dentistry, cosmetic treatments and Denplan care
  • Experience: Gain hands-on experience by shadowing experienced Dental Nurses, supporting clinicians, learning decontamination and sterilisation procedures, and delivering excellent patient care while working towards your qualification
  • Location: On-site parking and conveniently located close to reliable bus routes

About You

We’d love to receive your application to our Trainee Dental Nurse vacancy if you have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Ideally: Maths & English GCSE grade A-C/4-9 or Key Skills/Functional Skills Level 2
  • Communication: Confident communicator with an empathetic, service-focused approach
  • Learning: Keen to learn how to perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting each dentist, hygienist or therapist in a wide variety of procedures
