Apprentice Dental Nurse - High Street Dental Practice, East Grinstead
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Hours: 7:45am-5:30pm | Hourly Rate NMW
This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in Dental Nursing, gaining valuable hands-on experience within a well-established practice while working towards your Dental Nursing qualification.
You’ll learn from an experienced and supportive team, developing the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to become a qualified Dental Nurse.
With a consistent Monday-Friday working pattern and no weekend working, this is a great opportunity to begin a rewarding career while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Working Monday to Friday: 7:45am-5:30pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

The Role
As a Dental Nurse Apprentice, you’ll learn all aspects of Dental Nursing while gaining practical experience working alongside our experienced clinicians and wider practice team.
You’ll receive support throughout your apprenticeship, developing your clinical knowledge, practical skills and understanding of patient care.
Your responsibilities will develop as you progress through your apprenticeship and will include:
- Supporting clinicians during dental treatments.
- Preparing and maintaining surgeries to a high clinical standard.
- Welcoming and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey.
- Learning and maintaining excellent infection prevention and control standards.
- Learning decontamination and instrument processing procedures.
- Maintaining clean, safe and well-organised clinical areas.
- Supporting the wider practice team with the smooth running of the practice.
- Developing your knowledge of dental procedures, equipment and materials.
- Working towards the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to become a qualified Dental Nurse.
What We’re Looking For
You do not need previous dental experience to apply. We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about starting a career in Dental Nursing and is keen to learn.
You’ll ideally be:

- Professional and committed to providing excellent patient care
