About RoarTech
RoarTech provides IT support to schools and academy trusts across Shropshire and the West Midlands. Our technicians help schools keep their technology working reliably and securely, supporting everything from laptops, desktops, and printers to Microsoft 365, cloud services, networks, and classroom technology.
This is an opportunity to learn from people who work with these technologies every day and to develop skills that can form the foundation of a long-term career in IT.
What you'll be doing
As your knowledge and confidence develop, you'll be involved in a range of hands-on IT support activities, including:
- Helping resolve everyday Windows, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, printer, and connectivity issues, both remotely and at school sites.
- Logging and updating support tickets, asking clear questions, and keeping users informed throughout an issue.
- Preparing and configuring laptops and desktops, installing approved software, and checking devices before they are handed to users.
- Learning how to support Microsoft 365 accounts, users, and groups, following approved identity and access procedures.
- Assisting with Microsoft Intune, including device enrolment, Windows Autopilot, application deployment, and device checks under supervision.
- Supporting iPads, Chromebooks, and classroom technology.
- Helping maintain accurate device, asset, and equipment records.
- Following agreed processes to test changes, record results, and obtain approval before changes are introduced more widely.
- Escalating issues when you need support and learning from experienced members of the team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
