Summary

An Apprentice Early Years Educator is needed at Hockley Community Day Nursery, B18 7LG. We are looking for someone with a love of working with children; you will gain an Early Years Educator Level 3 qualification.

The setting is open Monday to Friday between 07.30-18.00, so you will be working a 35 hour week - usually between 8.45-3.15 but there is a requirement for one day per week to start 07.15 and on another finish later at 18.00

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

• Ensure high standards in all aspects of care and development in line with the EYFS for all children attending the nursery
• Organise resources for activities and experiences in the nursery
• Assist in enhancing the developmental progress in children
• Implement the daily routine within the nursery
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and good housekeeping
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of all the nursery’s policies and procedures, ensuring that they are followed and respected
