Job Description

Apprentice Electrician

Buxton

Full time, 37 hours per week

Installation and Maintenance Electrician Level 3 Apprenticeship

Infinity specialises in a variety of property compliance, maintenance, and management solutions on behalf of Local Authorities, commercial partners and Housing Associations across the UK.

Due to a significant increase in demand for our compliance services, Norse Infinity currently have an excellent opportunity for an Apprentice Electrician to join the team on a full-time basis with further opportunities to develop your career with us once qualified.

The Role

The Apprentice Electrician will undertake development activities and formal training with the aim of becoming a qualified Electrician. This role tasks you to with Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems in industrial, commercial and residential environments. We provide an excellent opportunity for you to gain crucial experience while developing alongside our experienced and professional electrical team. You will learn how to:

  • Carry out electrical installations and repairs to the current Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) wiring requirements and BS 7671
  • Work from detailed electrical specifications, design drawings and circuit diagrams
  • Test and inspect electrical installations to current IEE requirements
  • Work with a wide range of electrical installations and specialist equipment such as fire Alarms, emergency lighting and controls, etc.

If you are an enthusiastic individual that is willing to develop a career within the industry, this opportunity is perfect for you. We are looking for you to display the following:

  • A minimum of five C grade (or equivalent) GCSE’s including Maths, English and Science or equivalent.
  • Ability to work at heights and within confined spaces
  • Good communication skills written and verbal
  • A full, clean UK drivers’ licence to meet travel requirements

  • The completion of a NVQ Level 3 Installations and Maintenance Electrician qualification with further opportunities to obtain additional qualifications in the future if desired.
