I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

They told us what they were going to do step by step and ask us if there were any questions. Not only did they do a great job but they also vacuumed and swept the floors when they were done. Luis and Carlos were very professional and did a good job. They even cleaned up after themselves with this little vacuum cleaner they brought, which I honestly wasn’t expecting. Quick turn around time to schedule and complete job. Outstanding work by the employees to put forth an extra effort and do things right the first time. No Complaints with quality of work! I called for an estimate and scheduled a time for someone to come out. Isiah and Matt showed up to my house, gave me some options and quickly went to work. These guys were very professional, informative and respectful. I explained to him both my needs and expectations for my home and he was able to guide me through the process of determining the best options for my family. I really appreciate his honesty. Neat Work. Prompt service. Took longer than expected but work was done patiently and very nicely. Problems that were created by the work were promptly addressed. Days leading up to work they called to confirm my needs and requests were being met and to confirm our appointment. They showed up early for the appointment, and allowed me to throw on some extra work before they left. They were on time, professional and no pressure in the estimation of work I asked about. They are also working an estimate for our kitchen for lighting as we take on an additional project very soon. Absolutely recommend Absolute Power for your electrical needs.
