Description: Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Fixed Term for 2 years

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge where you can grow your career? Then we have the perfect role for you! Join us as an Housing Finance Apprentice, where you can achieve a Level 2 finance assistant apprenticeship qualification paid for by us, whilst also gaining on the job experience. Upon successful completion of Level 2 within 1 year, there will also be opportunity to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship for a further year.

The Housing Finance team is part of the BSC, and we maximise the collection of rent, repairs charges, leaseholder charges and process Right To Buy applications. The role contributes to the efficient, accurate and timely operation of the housing financial functional activities and financial systems. Ensuring, rents, service charges, invoices, right to buy and leaseholder accounts are effectively administered and assessed.

The role is on a two-year contract working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, including 20% off the job training which will help you achieve your qualification which will be a Level 2 Finance Assistant course.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Housing Finance Apprentice, you’ll have a sheer variety of tasks to be getting involved with. Day to day work will involve you dealing with incoming post, investigating and responding to enquiries with reference to Rent Accounts and Right to Buy applications.

What You’ll Need

  • You’ll have a keen interest in working for Leicester City Council and be committed and enthusiastic to learning whilst undertaking your Level 2 Finance Assistant Apprenticeship course.
  • You’ll be willing to learn about finance administration and what it means to work with Leicester City Council tenants.
  • You will be a good communicator.
  • You’ll demonstrate you are confident in using IT applications.
