Salary: First 39 hours at basic rate of £14.28, remaining 11 hours at time and a half of £21.42
Job Type: Full-time Apprenticeship
Assessment Date: 3rd September
About The Role
We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Groundworker Apprentice to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a career in construction and gain valuable hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification.
As a Groundworker Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced groundworkers and learn a wide range of skills, including excavation, drainage, concreting, foundations, kerbing, paving, and general groundwork.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Assisting experienced groundworkers on construction sites
- Learning how to carry out excavation and earthworks
- Installing drainage systems and pipework
- Assisting with foundations, concrete, and formwork
- Laying kerbs, paving, and other groundworks
- Using tools and equipment safely and correctly
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy, and safe
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Attending college/training as part of your apprenticeship
What We're Looking For
No previous experience is necessary, as full training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is:
- Hardworking and reliable
- Keen to learn and develop new skills
- Punctual and committed
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically fit and willing to get stuck in
- Safety-conscious and willing to follow instructions
