Foundation Apprenticeships

Foundation apprenticeships are introductory courses that help young people get started in an industry. You do not need to have any specific qualifications or experience to apply. Anyone between 16 and 21 can start a foundation apprenticeship. If you're between 22 and 24, you can start if you:

  • Have an EHC plan
  • Are in care or have been in care
  • Are in prison or have been in prison

An ideal opportunity which helps candidates to build their future career in healthcare through an apprenticeship program. Monitoring patients, performing basic health checks, and making patients feel comfortable.

Wage

£15,600 to £24,784.50, depending on your age

Training Course

Health and social care foundation apprenticeship (level 2)

Hours

  • Monday - Friday between 9.00am and 5.00pm.
  • 37 hours 30 minutes a week

Thursday 1 October 2026

Classes are held one day a week.

Healthcare Support worker Apprenticeship Level 2 qualification
Persons BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Care

You do not need to have any specific qualifications or experience to apply for a foundation apprenticeship.
