We are seeking a proactive and organised HR Administration Apprentice to join our fast-paced manufacturing business.

You will support the HR team with recruitment, employee records, payroll administration, and day-to-day HR queries while working towards a recognised qualification.

As an HR Administration Apprentice, you will work as part of the HR team, supporting employees and managers across our fast-paced manufacturing site.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, and preparing new starter documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and updating HR systems, ensuring all information is handled confidentially.
  • Assisting with payroll administration, time and attendance records, absence information, and employee documentation.
  • Responding to routine HR queries from employees and managers and directing more complex matters to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Supporting employee inductions, training administration, and the organisation of site engagement activities.
  • Uploading HR news, employee updates, and engaging content to the company intranet, acting as a content ambassador for the site.
  • Helping to promote key business messages, employee initiatives, and site events through internal communication channels.
  • Shadowing HR and operational meetings to gain an understanding of how people-related matters are discussed and managed within a manufacturing environment.
  • Completing general administrative duties, including preparing letters, scanning documents, managing files, and producing basic reports.
  • Learning about HR policies, procedures, and employment practices while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Essential qualifications:

  • GCSE in:
    • English (grade C/4 or above or equivalent)
    • Maths (grade C/4 or above or equivalent)
