Foundation Apprenticeships
Foundation apprenticeships are introductory courses that help young people get started in an industry. You do not need to have any specific qualifications or experience to apply.
Anyone between 16 and 21 can start a foundation apprenticeship.
If you're between 22 and 24, you can start if you:
- Have an EHC plan
- Are in care or have been in care
- Are in prison or have been in prison
What You'll Do
You will provide support, resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues, manage support tickets, and assist with device setup and maintenance. You will maintain IT asset records, follow security and data protection procedures, and develop your skills while supporting staff and daily operations.
Wage
- £15,392 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age
- National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices

- Hardware, network and infrastructure foundation apprenticeship (level 2)
Hours
- Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm.
- 37 hours a week

What You'll Do at Work
- Provide first-line technical support for staff and visitors
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues
- Log and manage incidents through our IT service management system
- Set up, configure and deploy laptops, tablets and other devices
- Assist with software installations, updates and system maintenance
- Maintain accurate IT asset and inventory records
- Work in line with IT security, safeguarding and data protection requirements
- Learn from experienced IT professionals while developing your technical skills
