Summary

The Globe Inn sits on the outside of Leighton Buzzard, a short drive away from Leighton Buzzard Railway Museum and an 11-minute drive to Rushmere Country Park. Our idyllic pub offers exceptional experiences for the family, whether it's a special occasion or a casual catch-up, with our award-winning dishes and endless drinks menu.

Wage £16,523 a year

Training

Course: Senior production chef (level 3)

Hours: 25 hour contract minimum with hours available. Shift work including some bank holidays, evenings and weekends. Exact shifts to be confirmed. 25 hours a week

As an Apprentice Kitchen Team Leader with the Globe Inn, your motivational skills and passion for customer care make you the perfect person to lead our front of house teams. You'll ensure that each team member knows their stuff and can wow customers with a 5* experience. And it doesn't stop with food and drink! From quizzes to music evenings - your creativity and organisational skills can bring communities closer together.

As an Apprentice Kitchen Team Leader, you will...

  • Prepare, cook, and present food to brand standards, ensuring every dish is served with pride.
  • Support and guide the kitchen team, helping to organise service and maintain high performance during busy shifts.
  • Deputise for the Kitchen Manager or senior chefs when required, helping to resolve issues and keep service running smoothly.
  • Ensure all food hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
  • Monitor stock levels, food preparation, and kitchen organisation to ensure efficient service.

Training details

You won't need to attend college, our apprenticeships are delivered through work-based training which includes a mixture of face-to-face sessions and remote Team calls with your Lifetime Learner Coach every 6 weeks. You will also have a mentor within the workplace to support you.

Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths, with support tailored to your needs (if you don't already have GCSE or equivalents).

Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Learner Coach including feedback sessions.
