The successful applicant will be trained to carry out repairs and maintenance of all equipment on site. Repairs and maintenance will be both reactive and planned-in, in accordance with the company plan. You will be expected to work safely and meet the quality standards.
Requirements
- GCSE or equivalent in:
- English (grade A-C / 4)
- Maths (grade A-C / 4)
- Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
Responsibilities
- Planned maintenance; servicing and repairs of all equipment on site
- Reactive breakdown maintenance and repairs of all equipment on site
- To keep repairs and servicing in-line with the Maintenance Management System
- To log breakdowns on the company breakdown log
- To help with the control of critical spares
- Keeping the workspace clean and tidy
- Other ad-hoc duties where required

- Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship standard which includes:
- Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Operations (skills)
- Certificate or Diploma in Engineering Operations (knowledge)
- Functional Skills in maths or English (if required)
- Learning will take place in the workplace with the need to attend training at NSEGTA premises.
- The opportunity to progress into full time employment following the completion of the apprenticeship and / or another apprenticeship as agreed with the company.
