Apprentice Mechanic Farmer Autocare Paisley

GTG Training are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of Farmer Autocare, one of Scotland's leading independent automotive service providers, for an Apprentice Mechanic at their Paisley branch. With 21 centres across Central Scotland and a strong reputation for customer service, Farmer Autocare is committed to developing the next generation of automotive professionals.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a rewarding career in the automotive industry while gaining nationally recognised qualifications and practical workplace experience.

What will you be learning?

  • Gain hands-on experience in a busy workshop while working towards your SCQF Level 5 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
  • Learn how to carry out vehicle servicing, routine maintenance and inspections.
  • Assist with MOT preparation and repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, engine and chassis faults.
  • Remove, replace and overhaul vehicle components using industry-standard tools and equipment.
  • Develop knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and automotive technology.
  • Learn to work safely and professionally while following health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workshop environment.
  • Receive ongoing training, assessments and support from experienced mentors at both GTG Training and Farmer Autocare throughout your apprenticeship.

What qualifications are required?

You Should Have, Or Be Expected To Achieve

  • National 4 or above in English
  • National 4 or above in Maths
  • National 4 or above in a Science or Technical subject

  • A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
