This is an additional apprenticeship opportunity. Candidates considered during our previous recruitment campaign have already been assessed and do not need to submit a further application.

What You Will Be Doing...

  • Undertake a comprehensive training programme carried out at the Barony site and Ayrshire College on day release.
  • Undertake a period of on-the-job training with a Shift Mechanical Fitter, shift work will be required.
  • Complete and maintain all reports and records required for SEMTA (Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies Apprenticeship) awards scheme.
  • Liaise with the Mechanical Engineer in the repair and maintenance of all equipment on dayshift to the highest standards.

What We Need From You...

For all apprenticeships we are looking for self-motivated learners with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • You will also need 4 National 5 qualifications or equivalent at Grade C or above, or predicted, including Maths, English, Science and Technology based subjects.
  • Basic standard of IT skills.
