Apprentice Building Surveyor
Drayton, Norwich - Permanent - Full Time
Background
We are seeking a highly adaptable and proactive individual to work directly with the Directors of Bullen Group Ltd, operating across property development, commercial and residential asset management and strategic land holdings. This role is varied and hands-on, requiring someone who is willing to turn their hand to a wide range of tasks from helping to progress large development projects, to resolving day-to-day operational property issues. The successful candidate will help us progress development opportunities, aid ongoing property/land projects and assist in the management of the property portfolio.

You will attend an online apprenticeship at The University of the Built Environment from March 2027, for 4.5 years, qualifying with BSc (Hons).

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting to cost various refurbishment/development opportunities to help the team judge the viability of a project.
- Organise quotes for repairs and maintenance relating to a range of property assets.
- Oversee small on-site projects (e.g., landscaping, signage, building works).
- Assist in managing end of lease dilapidation works on commercial properties, alongside our external building surveyors.
- Help establish ‘baseline’ information for undeveloped land in company ownership. This could include assisting to commission ground investigation reports, surveys etc.
- Assist the team to assess new property or land opportunities.
- Assisting in pricing up infrastructure projects.
- Maintain project trackers for ongoing developments and report progress to Directors.
