Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You must be comfortable working in an industrial engineering environment.

  • The role involves standing, lifting, bending and working with tools and machinery.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • You must be able to travel to Worksop Traincare Depot and attend all apprenticeship training and reviews.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety and completing the full apprenticeship programme is essential.

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to secure a permanent position as a Plant Maintenance Engineer. As skills and experience develop, there may also be opportunities to progress into senior engineering, specialist technical or supervisory roles, supported by further training and professional development.

About The Training

Training will be delivered by Train'd Up through a combination of workplace learning and off-the-job training. The apprentice will receive regular support from a dedicated Skills Coach, complete online learning, attend progress reviews and build practical skills while working alongside experienced engineers at the Worksop Traincare Depot.
