Apprentice Production Admin Support - 2026 - Doncaster

The expertise of our teams of mechanical and civil engineers includes production design, fabrication, welding, electrical engineering, hydraulics, and computer numerical control machining.
This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop the skills, knowledge, and qualifications needed to become a fully qualified Production Administrator, supporting major construction and engineering projects.
What You Will Learn To Do
- Support the day-to-day delivery of welding and fabrication quality requirements
- Assist with preparation, issue, and maintenance of ITPs and quality documentation
- Maintain welder qualification records and welding prolongations
- Support welding surveillance activities and monitor compliance on the shop floor
- Assist with NDT coordination, tracking, and record management
- Maintain traceability records for materials and welded products
- Help compile, check, and issue quality packs in line with project requirements
- Carry out routine inspections and quality checks under guidance
- Liaise with production teams, chargehands, and supervisors on quality-related matters

What You'll Bring To The Role
- Strong IT and communication skills
- Maths & English grades 4 or above at GCSE level (or equivalent)
- Ability to use Microsoft packages
- A flexible and proactive attitude
- Able to work methodically
- Organisational skills
- Prioritise work to meet department deadlines
What qualification will you be studying towards?
Your time will be split between studying at College for a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard qualification, whilst developing new skills in the workplace with on-the-job training.
