Quality Systems and Manufacturing Processes Apprentice
Working under the guidance and support of the Quality team, you will develop the skills and knowledge needed to gain valuable experience in quality systems and manufacturing processes. During this apprenticeship, you will learn about Hager's products, processes, and quality standards, helping you to build a career in Quality within a collaborative manufacturing environment.
You will work closely with colleagues across the production teams to develop your skills and responsibilities while studying towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification through Shrewsbury College.
Job Responsibilities
- Learn basic problem solving techniques by supporting investigations into quality concerns and customer complaints, developing skills in root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys and Pareto Analysis.
- Participate fully in apprenticeship training and further education to develop practical skills and knowledge in quality and manufacturing processes.
- Support internal audit activities and develop an understanding of quality management systems and ISO standards.
- Gain exposure to supplier quality processes, including analysis of supplier performance and incoming goods quality.
- Learn inspection and measurement techniques using equipment such as Vernier callipers and micrometers to ensure product compliance and accuracy.
- Support manufacturing teams with the investigation and resolution of production quality issues, including analysis of reject and scrap data.

Essential Experience Needed

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills through both practical and classroom based training.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of SAP systems (training will be provided).
Recruitment Stages
- Once your CV has been selected, you will be contacted by a recruiter for an initial phone exchange.
- You will be invited for a first interview with the hiring manager & the recruiter.
- A second interview will be then organized with the N+2 & the HR manager.
