Job Overview
Join Servicom as an Apprentice Radio Network Technician, based at our Redditch office, and start your career in critical communications. This fully funded 24-month Level 3 apprenticeship combines paid, hands-on work with structured online training. You’ll work alongside our experienced engineers on Motorola radio infrastructure and critical communications systems for major organisations across airports, logistics, retail and defence. Alongside your apprenticeship, you’ll shadow senior engineers and receive additional technical training through leading manufacturers and suppliers. On completion you’ll be eligible for professional recognition from ITP and BCS.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.45am to 5.00pm, and Friday 8.45am to 4.00pm.

Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, configuration and maintenance of radio networks and communications equipment.
- Support engineers in diagnosing and resolving faults on customer systems.
- Help with site surveys, equipment testing and monitoring of network performance.
- Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and manufacturer documentation.
- Travel to customer sites across the UK as part of project and support work.
- Keep accurate records of work carried out, test results and system configurations.
- Follow health and safety procedures and site access requirements at all times.
Experience
- A genuine interest in radio, telecoms or IT, and enjoyment of practical, hands-on work is essential.
- Any experience with electronics, networking or computer hardware is an advantage but not required; full training will be provided.
- A reliable, safety-conscious approach and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- GCSE English and maths (or equivalent) would be an advantage but are not essential; support is available through the programme.
- You must have the right to work in the UK. Offers are subject to references and, where required for customer sites, background or security checks.
