Role Description

The Apprentice Sales and Customer Service role is a full-time, on-site position based in Milford Haven. The apprentice will support the sales and customer service team by handling customer enquiries, processing orders, and providing product information and guidance.

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Responding to phone and email queries
  • Assisting with quotations
  • Maintaining customer records
  • Helping to resolve issues promptly and professionally

The role also involves:

  • Learning sales techniques
  • Supporting the promotion of Simon Safety’s products and services
  • Contributing to a positive customer experience

The apprentice will receive on-the-job training and development to build skills in sales, customer service, and product knowledge within the safety equipment industry.

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Interest in developing Sales skills, including basic Sales Management and support for sales activities.
  • Willingness to participate in Training and continuous learning to build industry and product knowledge.
  • Basic IT skills, including familiarity with email, spreadsheets, and customer databases.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work well in a team and follow guidance from supervisors.
  • GCSEs or equivalent school qualifications; prior experience in retail, sales, or customer service is beneficial but not essential.
