£16,640 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices

Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, with 30 minutes unpaid break and 30 minutes paid lunch. 40 hours a week

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Assist with creating and processing purchase orders.
- Monitor stock levels and help identify when products need to be reordered.
- Check supplier pricing and availability.
- Communicate with existing suppliers by phone and email.
- Request and compare supplier quotations.
- Monitor outstanding orders and expected delivery dates.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding delayed, missing or incorrect deliveries.
- Help maintain accurate product and supplier information within our business systems.
- Support the purchasing team with product research and sourcing new parts.
- Develop an understanding of supplier lead times, minimum order quantities and pricing.
- Assist with identifying opportunities to improve purchasing costs and stock availability.
- Work closely with the warehouse, sales and customer service teams to understand stock requirements.
- Learn about the tractor-parts industry and develop knowledge of the products we sell.
- Carry out general administrative duties within the purchasing department.
- Follow company procedures relating to purchasing, stock control, health and safety and data protection.

What you'll learn
Course contents Conduct risk assessments within the working environment. Apply safe working practices in line with associated health and safety legislation and company policy. Decant, pack products in line with organisational procedures. Communicate with others verbally, for example internal and external customers, colleagues, and managers. Communicate in writing with others, for example internal and external customers, colleagues and managers. Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination. Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling. Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security. Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements. Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts. support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product. Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility. Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal. Follow equity, diversity and inclusion rules. Carry out and record learning and development activities. Conducts handover activities. Training schedule
The successful candidate will work towards achieving their Apprenticeship Standard in Supply Chain Level 2. A dedicated work-based trainer will be assigned to the candidate to provide them with support and guidance throughout the course. This is a work-based programme with College attendance required once a month. All learning will take place at the candidate's place of employment/College and within their contracted working hours.

Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in: English and Maths (grade A*/9 – C/4)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements
This role involves a significant amount of computer-based work, so the ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of attention to detail is essential. The workplace is not accessible by public transport, so the successful apprentice will need to have their own transport and be able to drive.
