Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

A typical day for the apprentice will involve working as part of a small, supportive team alongside an experienced member of staff to provide learning opportunities for pupils with complex needs. The day will follow established routines, including preparing resources, supporting pupils to settle, assisting with individual and small-group learning, and encouraging communication, independence and positive social interaction.

The apprentice will initially observe and work alongside experienced staff before gradually taking responsibility for parts of activities. They will also have regular opportunities to work within the wider mainstream classroom, supporting pupils during lessons and developing their understanding of the wider TA role.

Time will be provided each day for guidance, reflection and feedback, helping the apprentice to build confidence, develop practical skills and progressively work more independently.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About this employer

Welcome to St. Anne's Copp Church of England Primary School, Great Eccleston. In building solid foundations for every unique individual and putting God’s love at the centre of all we do, our children learn to embrace our diverse world. We encourage our children to learn universally in order to understand our heritage and roots as a village, town, region and nation. Through strong community links, our children grow in compassion and understanding, promote justice and possess aspirations to make a positive difference. We offer an ambitious curriculum that ignites curiosity along with high personal expectations that fosters resilience and which enables them to flourish. Our children are easily distinguished by the courage they show when making brave choices and understand the importance of becoming the very best versions of themselves. Our statement of intent demonstrates the core values we focus upon in our school. In addition to our Gospel values, children are encouraged to be the very best versions of themselves. To achieve this, we ensure our pupils have a broad and balanced curriculum, built from solid starting points in pre-school and Early Years. This approach enables us to find the inner artist, historian, writer or athlete within our children. We foster curiosity in our approach to learning and ensure our pupils are passionate about the world around them. We understand children have different interests, skills, talents and we make it our mission to find out what this may be. Our village school is at the heart of our community. We work closely with lots of different people who really understand our school and pupils. Every decision we make is child-focused, so that our school is constantly evolving to fit the needs of our children and families. We are very proud of our happy, thoughtful, confident pupils, who are excellent ambassadors for the love and caring which stems from our Christian Vision. We enjoy a happy, small-school ethos where everyone is valued and nurtured as an individual and where we encourage our children to develop a range of Christian values, to help them be better equipped to respect and value others around them. We strive for finding out what each child excels at or enjoys and aim to build on this throughout their journey with us. We have a dedicated team of staff and governors, who work hard to reach high standards in everything we do; this is further embedded through our successful relationships with parents, our PTFA, the local and wider community, and the Diocese. We firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and very much value our families as active partners in their child's education. We do not hold formal open days as we believe that we would like you to see our school on a 'normal' day. You are more than welcome to make an appointment to see our wonderful school by calling the school office on 01995 670969.
