Start your career in education with a Teaching Assistant apprenticeship at our friendly village primary school.

Gain valuable experience, training and qualifications while making a difference to children's learning.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

An Apprentice Teaching Assistant supports teaching and learning across the school by working closely with teachers to help pupils achieve their full potential. This includes:

  • Supporting individuals, small groups and occasionally whole classes
  • Helping to deliver engaging learning activities
  • Encouraging the development of literacy, numeracy, confidence, independence and social skills

You will contribute to creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing environment where all children feel safe, valued and supported to succeed.

The role also involves:

  • Providing additional support for pupils with learning, emotional, behavioural or special educational needs
  • Helping them to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life
  • Preparing and organising learning resources
  • Undertaking routine administrative tasks
  • Assisting with the supervision of pupils during lessons, educational visits and school events
  • Flexibility to support different year groups and contribute to the wider life of the school as needed

You'll actively participate in training, college attendance and coursework to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for the role. Additional responsibilities, such as lunchtime supervision, may be undertaken where agreed as part of the contracted hours.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
