📢 WE’RE HIRING – APPRENTICE TELECOMS ENGINEER
📍 Earls Barton, Northamptonshire
Are you interested in technology and looking to start a career in the industry? We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and technically minded person to join Barton Telecom Services as an Apprentice Telecoms (VoIP) Engineer.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with:
- Installing & supporting VoIP phone systems
- Setting up business broadband & routers
- Basic networking & troubleshooting
- Providing first line technical support
- Visiting customers and carrying out installations
Alongside your on the job training, you’ll complete a Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship.
We’re looking for someone who:

- Are friendly, approachable and confident dealing with people
- Have a good telephone manner and communication skills
- Have a BTEC, A Level or similar qualification in IT, Computing or a related subject
- Have a genuine interest in IT and technology
- Enjoy troubleshooting and working out how things work
- Are organised and have good attention to detail
- Are enthusiastic and keen to learn new skills
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Live within approximately 25 minutes' drive of Earls Barton
No previous telecoms experience required – attitude, personality and a willingness to learn are just as important to us as technical knowledge.
