Location: Observatory House/ Slough Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in the office)

What You’ll Be Doing
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with an ability to manage their own caseload. The role will include all aspects of Trading Standards work. This role is ideal for someone out of university or recently completed A-Levels. Due to the funding of the position, we require someone who can start immediately, as the training course starts 30th October 2026.
The primary purpose is to obtain the level 6 apprenticeship in Trading Standards which covers 2500 pieces of legislation.
As part of the Public Protection team at Slough Borough Council, there are opportunities for cross-team working with Licensing and Environmental Health.
Slough is an exciting town, which is home to the largest trading estate in single ownership in Europe, many international businesses, as well as some unique businesses. Slough is a diverse town with unique opportunities. Our proximity to Heathrow Airport also means there are tasks related to imports.
