Apprentice Trainee Travel Agent

Location: NOTTINGHAM (NG16 4FL)

Summary

An exciting opportunity to join Wren Travel as a full-time Business Administration Apprentice. You will support the day-to-day running of our busy travel agency while working towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification.

Wage:

  • £15,600 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age
  • National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices

Training:

  • Business administrator (level 3)

Hours:

  • Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm, with 30 minutes lunch break.
  • 37 hours 30 minutes a week

Start Date: Sunday 1 November 2026
Duration: 1 year 6 months

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Wren Travel is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Business Administration Apprentice to join our growing team on a full-time basis. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will play a key part in supporting the smooth running of the business while gaining valuable experience within the travel industry. Your duties will include:

  • Managing incoming emails and responding to customer enquiries.
  • Liaising with hotels, tour operators and travel suppliers.
  • Assisting with preparing bespoke holiday quotations.
  • Supporting clients before, during and after their bookings.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and updating internal systems.
  • Preparing travel documentation and customer mail packs.
  • Writing personalised postcards for clients.
  • Assisting with general office administration and filing.
  • Supporting marketing activities and social media where required.
  • Providing excellent customer service both over the phone and via email.

You will receive full training and support while completing your Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. This role offers the opportunity to develop valuable business, communication and customer service skills within a fast-growing independent travel company.

What you'll learn

Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to:

  • Write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data.
  • Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.
  • Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
  • Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.

Training Schedule

In addition to gaining practical experience in the role, you will also attain an NVQ Level 3 Business Administration qualification, which will help start your career and give you an insight into the business's processes and procedures.

Our training is all completed remotely via Teams with a development coach who will be available for support 24/7 and will arrange weekly/fortnightly meetings with you.
