Job Description
Looking for someone who is wanting training and developing to ensure all customer orders are packed and delivered within agreed timescales and for resolving any issues with third party couriers. This would include general warehouse maintenance and keeping a clean working environment, whilst adhering to H&S guidelines.
What you'll do at work:
- Ensure H&S is adhered to, and any issues that are noticed are reported to a line manager immediately.
- Pick and pack retail orders adhering to the processes in place.
- Ensure quality checks are carried out on each order by thoroughly checking the pick sheets and identifying possible errors prior to dispatch.
- Pick & pack consignment and pallet size orders for trade and major customers.
- Ensure any labelling & bar-coding requirements are completed on each order, and pallets are labelled with the appropriate documentation.
- Ensure FBA pallets are correctly labelled and booked out as per the agreed process.
- Book collections for consignment and pallet orders for trade and major customers as required.
- Build excellent relationships with the CX team to ensure that communication is clear and accurate for all current processes.
- Complete any required stock takes as and when needed and ensure that no orders are picked whilst these are taking place.
- Unloading container deliveries and understanding pallet plans for each product.
- Ensuring this is done in a timely manner within the set time limit guidelines.
- Ensuring that all apprenticeship coursework tasks are completed and handed in on time and attend all required meetings with your mentor.
- General housekeeping - keeping shelves tidy and faced up, removing any empty cartons from the building to the bins.
- Cleaning equipment and work area down and sweeping floors.
- Ensure all waste, general and recycling, is disposed of in the appropriate manner, and the warehouse is kept free of litter.
- Ensure workstations are kept topped up with essential packing materials required for P&P.
- Ensure the communal facilities are kept clean and tidy. These should be cleaned thoroughly once per week and the cleaning schedule updated to reflect this.
- Any Ad-hoc administrative duties required that are in line with your role as and when necessary.

What you'll learn:
Course contents
- Conduct risk assessments within the working environment.
- Apply safe working practices in line with associated health and safety legislation and company policy.
- Receive products in line with organisational procedures.
- Store and pick products in line with organisational procedures.
- Dispatch products in line with organisational procedures.
- Decant, pack products in line with organisational procedures.
- Communicate with others verbally, for example internal and external customers, colleagues, and managers.
- Communicate in writing with others, for example internal and external customers, colleagues and managers.
- Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
- Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
- Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
- Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
- Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
- Support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
- Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
- Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.
- Follow equity, diversity and inclusion rules.
- Carry out and record learning and development activities.
- Conducts handover activities.

Essential qualifications:
- GCSE in English (grade 9-4 (A*-C))
- GCSE in Mathematics (grade 9-4 (A*-C))
