Full-time Apprenticeship | Monday to Friday | 7:30am – 4:00pm

About Abbey & Burton Glass

Abbey & Burton Glass has been serving homeowners and businesses across Derbyshire, Staffordshire and the surrounding areas for over 50 years. From our Derby and Burton branches, we supply and install a wide range of windows, doors, bi-fold doors, glazing products and home-improvement solutions. Our reputation has been built on quality workmanship, reliable service and a team that takes pride in doing the job properly. As a long-established local business, we believe in investing in the next generation and giving people the opportunity to learn practical skills, gain recognised qualifications and build a long-term career within the industry.

We are now looking for a Window Installer Apprentice to join our installation team, working from our Derby branch.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on role for someone looking to start a career within the glazing and construction industry. You will work alongside experienced window and door installers on real projects while completing a recognised Level 2 Fenestration Installer apprenticeship. You do not need previous window installation experience. Full training will be provided, both on the job and through your apprenticeship course. Over time, you will develop the skills and experience required to progress towards becoming a qualified window and door installer.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
