Are you looking to kick-start your career in business administration while making a real difference to students' futures?
We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Apprentice Work Experience Co-ordinator to join our Work Experience Team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience while working towards a Business Administration apprenticeship, supporting students, employers and curriculum teams to deliver high-quality work experience opportunities.
Working across both College campuses, you'll play a key role in ensuring work experience placements run smoothly, supporting everything from administration and compliance to employer engagement and events. You'll also have six hours of protected off-the-job training each week to complete your apprenticeship.
What you'll do:
- Provide administrative support to the Head of Careers and Work Experience and the Work Experience team.
- Support the coordination of work experience placements across the College.
- Ensure health and safety documentation, parental consent and compliance checks are completed before placements begin.
- Monitor and respond to the Employability team inbox, directing enquiries where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate student and employer records using the College's placement management system.
- Produce reports and carry out routine data audits to ensure information remains accurate and up to date.
- Support the DBS application process for placements where required.
- Assist with the administration of block placement weeks, liaising with students, parents and employers.
- Help organise employability events, careers fairs, employer talks, mock interviews and volunteering opportunities.
- Liaise with employers, curriculum teams and College departments to support successful events.
- Assist with promotional activities by gathering learner and employer case studies.
- Support general office administration, including room bookings, ordering stationery and updating guidance materials.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
