We are offering an apprenticeship opportunity within our residential children’s homes in South-East London. This is a paid, hands-on role where you will earn while you learn, gaining practical experience and working towards a nationally recognised qualification in residential childcare.
No degree is required. Whether your background is in psychology, therapy, social work, counselling, education, nursing, business, engineering, the arts, or another discipline, or someone looking to switch disciplines, we are interested in individuals who are intelligent, resilient, ambitious, and committed to helping others succeed.
What matters most is your character, professionalism, emotional intelligence, commitment to safeguarding, and determination to positively impact the lives of young people.
Salary: £18,000–£22,000 per annum
Working hours: 20 - 40 hours per week, with opportunity for overtime.

Your Future
Successful apprentices will be considered for permanent roles as residential childcare workers, with further progression opportunities into senior practitioner, team leader, deputy manager, and leadership roles across the Bright Futures group.
Exceptional apprentices may also be considered for entry into the Bright Futures Leadership Academy — our flagship three-year accelerated development programme for future leaders in children’s social care.

- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) — no degree required

About Bright Futures Children Care Limited

Bright Futures Children's Care is an Ofsted-registered residential children's care provider with homes across South and South East London. We work with looked-after young people who need stability, consistency, and adults who genuinely show up for them.
We are a small, hands-on organisation. Our staff engage directly with the young people they support, and we take that responsibility seriously - through rigorous safeguarding, quality care, and a team culture built on honesty and accountability.
We invest in our people because we believe good care starts with a well-supported workforce. We fund qualifications, promote from within, and have built one of the sector's first structured graduate programmes for those starting their career in residential childcare.
