At Specsavers, we’re passionate about helping our people build rewarding careers through learning and development. As an Apprentice Coach, you’ll play a key role in supporting apprentices to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed in their roles.
Role Overview
Working from home, with regular travel across Worcestershire, you’ll support apprentices throughout their learning journey, while building strong relationships with store teams to help them achieve their full potential. This is a fixed term contract for up to 13 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of up to 30 apprentices, delivering engaging one-to-one coaching sessions, both virtually and face-to-face.
- Create individual learning plans and review workplace learning.
- Provide regular feedback and support to help learners stay motivated and on track.
- Work closely with store Partners, managers, and colleagues across the apprenticeship team to ensure apprentices receive the guidance they need, develop key occupational skills, and are fully prepared for the next stage of their programme.
- Support maths and English development where required.

Requirements
- Experience in optics.
- Genuine passion for coaching and developing others.
- Experience delivering coaching, training, or development sessions.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to influence, support, and motivate people from a range of backgrounds.
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing your own diary, balancing priorities, and working towards agreed timescales and targets.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office.
- Clean driving licence and ability to drive and travel regionally.
