Glassmoon Services provide specialist, person-centred support to help young adults and adults with autism and/or learning disabilities live their best lives in their own homes and communities. We want everyone we support to thrive, find meaning and fulfilment, and make a positive impact every day.

We're looking for an HR apprentice to join our team and work towards a Level 3 HR Support qualification.

This is a full-time role based in Liskeard, with the option to work remotely some of the time.

What You'll Be Doing Day To Day

  • Create and advertise our current vacancies using our Applicant Tracking System
  • Send out offers of employment
  • Request the required background checks, including an Enhanced DBS check with the adults' and children's barred lists
  • Gather, check and verify employment references
  • Keep an eye on workflows and organise your workload by priority
  • Help new starters get set up on the required systems, working with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief of People and Learning (CoPL)
  • Keep annual checks up to date, including annual wellbeing and DBS Update Service checks
  • Check key documents, such as proof of address, a passport, a full or provisional driving licence, or a birth certificate
  • Check any gaps in employment history
  • Help with Learning & Development activities
  • Provide admin support to our Service Manager
  • Pitch in with other HR tasks when needed
