Role: Apprenticeship Innovation Ambassador Co-ordinator

Salary: £30,000

Hours: 36.25

Location: Stockport/Stretford

Employment type: Fixed Term until 31st March 2025

Based at Trafford and Stockport College Group, you will be pivotal in the success of the GM Innovation Programme. Are you ready to pioneer innovation and promote business transformation in Greater Manchester? As an Apprenticeship Innovation Ambassador Co-ordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the Greater Manchester Further Education Innovation programme (GMFEIP), which aims to promote innovation and increase productivity across businesses in Greater Manchester.

The primary objective is to equip apprentices who are employed in local businesses with knowledge and confidence to support innovative practice within their businesses and empower them to become 'Apprentice Innovation Ambassadors'.

Key Duties:

  • Outreach and employer engagement work to develop and support awareness raising activities of the FE Innovation Fund across the local business ecosystem, including the main aims and objectives of the fund (adoption and diffusion of innovations)
  • Support the engagement of appropriate Apprentices working across our employer partners (minimum target 10 per GM borough)
  • Contribute towards development and testing of an innovative training resource for apprentices to become ‘Apprentice Innovation Ambassadors’ increasing the innovation capacity of their host employers
  • Contribute towards development and delivery of CPD programme on ‘Innovation Literacy’ that will be delivered to Apprentices so that they gain the knowledge and confidence to demystify and support their host businesses to move closer towards innovation adoption
  • Support completion of project-related monitoring, evaluation, impact and evidence gathering requirements
  • Carry out other duties from time to time within the general scope of the post as required by line manager
