OTHER REQUIREMENTS AND/OR ASPECTS TO BE ASSESSED
CAF is currently delivering a number of mainline and metro projects in the UK with future orders in the pipeline. Each of these projects will be authorised into service by the Office of Rail and Road, in accordance with the Railway Interoperability Regulations 2011 or via the railway undertakings own assurance and approvals processes. In addition to this compatibility with Network Rail infrastructure and that of any other affected party, has to be demonstrated before delivery, testing and service operation can begin. This is a key role which will ensure that these activities are undertaken on time.

The Approvals Project Manager will be a key member of the project core team, responsible for delivering authorisation and approval of the vehicles in accordance with the relevant regulations and standards for each stage of the project. The Approvals Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of technical submissions to the Certification Bodies and Network Rail to ensure on time delivery, testing and entry into service of the vehicles.
Essential
- Relevant Degree or equivalent.
- Experience of successful delivery, as part of a team, in a multi-disciplinary project environment.
- Project management and project coordination skills and experience.
- Able to communicate with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent IT skills including experience of Microsoft packages including Excel.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Able to maintain accurate records.
- Able to work flexibly across a broad range of activities as the role evolves.
- Able to respond and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced pressured environment.
- Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travel regularly in the UK.

Desirable
- Knowledge of railway (or similar) approvals, authorization, compliance and conformance processes.
