CAF is currently delivering six vehicle projects in the UK for four different train operating companies, with future orders in the pipeline. Each of these projects will be authorised into service by the Office of Rail and Road, in accordance with the Railway Interoperability Regulations 2011. In addition to this compatibility with Network Rail infrastructure has to be demonstrated before delivery, testing and service operation can begin.  This is a key role which will ensure that these activities are undertaken on time.

The UK Project Approvals Manager will provide support to and coordination of all approvals and safety related activities, strategies, systems and deliverables for CAF projects in the UK. Your role will be to ensure that systems are maintained to ensure that all the necessary approvals are granted, and safety is demonstrated, to facilitate the timely introduction into service of CAF fleets onto the UK railway.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
