Job Description

Perform tasks as instructed by the site supervisor

  • Carry out inspection and testing of electrical installations in line with current regulations.
  • Installation of tray work, conduit, trunking
  • Installation of SWA type cabling at various sizes
  • Installation of distribution boards
  • Electrical installation in Industrial Environments
  • Diagnose faults and carry out remedial works as required.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, schematics and specifications.
  • Ensure all installations comply with BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
  • Take responsibility for the quality and compliance of one's own work.
  • Liaise with supervisors, engineers and clients regarding technical matters.
  • Support and guide less experienced electricians and labourers on site.
  • Ensure all test equipment is calibrated and used correctly.
  • Record and maintain accurate documentation of work completed.
  • Identify and report any non-compliance or safety concerns.
  • Ensure quality standards are met.
  • Comply with all site rules, PPE requirements and H&S regulations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • Qualified Electrician C&G/Apprenticeship/AM2 or Equivalent
  • C&G 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Inspection & Testing C&G 2391 or Equivalent
  • CCNSG

Desirable Qualifications/Experience

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with Clients at all levels
  • Ability to travel at short notice, including long distances
  • Team player
  • Willing to work overtime when required, including working away from home Monday - Friday
  • Awareness of H+S regulations on site

Working away from home is expected around 80% of the year.
