About the role
The Estates & Grounds Maintenance team at The Guinness Partnership is hiring an Arborist to provide a high quality, customer focused tree surgery and maintenance service in compliance with relevant procedures and legislation. This is a full time, 35 hours per week, permanent, field-based role covering Havant, Southampton, Portsmouth and surrounding areas.
What we are looking for
We are seeking a qualified and certificated Arborist who can demonstrate a high level of technical competence when working at height using harness systems, chainsaws and associated machinery. The successful candidate will have experience operating within a customer-focused environment and meeting defined performance targets, alongside the ability to complete all required certifications, reports and documentation to a high standard. A methodical approach, strong adherence to established procedures and precise data recording are essential. The role requires effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work safely in varying environmental conditions. Strong organisational and time-management abilities, the capability to work with minimal supervision, and a good understanding of health and safety requirements are also key attributes for this position.

You will be able to demonstrate these essential skills:
- Qualified certificated Arborist with proven ability of working at height with harness systems, chainsaws and other associated machinery.
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment within agreed performance targets.
- Ability to correctly complete the relevant certifications, reports or other documentation.
- Proven ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information.
- Ability to operate safely having taken into account any environmental circumstances and possible risks.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems seeking any advice required.
- Health and safety knowledge.
- Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
Essential qualifications:
- Arborist Certification of CS30 to CS34, CS36 to CS47.
Desirable qualifications:
- ABC Level 2 certificate in Arboriculture.
- Relevant qualifications associated to Grounds Maintenance.
- PA1/PA6 competence in the safe use of pesticides.
- 301 Fell and Process Trees over 380mm (F/504/0565).
