Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Arborist role based in Hoveton, Norfolk. The Arborist will carry out a range of tree care operations, including pruning, crown reduction, dismantling, felling, and stump grinding, using appropriate equipment and techniques. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing tree health and structure, identifying species, supporting tree inspections and surveys, and assisting with vegetation and site clearance. The role also involves hedge cutting and management, tree planting, habitat management tasks, and responding to emergency tree works as required. The Arborist will work as part of a team to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible delivery of all projects, while maintaining equipment and adhering to industry health and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Arboriculture and practical experience in tree care and tree surgery.
  • Proficiency in Tree Identification and understanding of Trees in a variety of urban and rural environments.
  • Competence in using chainsaws, wood chippers, stump grinders, and climbing equipment, with relevant NPTC or equivalent certifications.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations, safe working at height, and manual handling practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, follow instructions, and communicate clearly with colleagues and clients.
  • Full UK driving license; trailer or HGV entitlement is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in arboricultural contracting or tree surgery operations is highly beneficial.
