Role Description

The Arborist role at ArborForce Group is a full-time, on-site position based in Tarporley. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting, pruning, and removing trees and vegetation in railway, utility, and domestic settings, following safety and industry best practices. The Arborist will assess tree health and stability, identify risks, and recommend appropriate management actions. Duties also involve operating chainsaws, chippers, and other arboricultural equipment, maintaining tools, and ensuring work areas are safe and compliant with relevant regulations. And will collaborate with the team, communicate clearly with supervisors and clients, and complete accurate job records and reports.

  • Strong knowledge of arboriculture, including practical experience with tree care and management.
  • Skills in tree identification and understanding of different tree species, growth habits, and health indicators.
  • Background in forestry or related field, with experience working in outdoor, physically demanding environments.
  • Certified Arborist credential or equivalent professional qualification, or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Ability to work safely at height, with proficiency in climbing techniques and use of harnesses and related equipment.
  • Experience operating and maintaining arborist tools and machinery (e.g., chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders).
  • Strong awareness of health and safety standards, risk assessment, and safe work practices in vegetation management.
  • Reliable team player with good communication skills and a disciplined, professional approach to work.
  • Full driving license and ability to travel to various work sites as required.
  • Relevant vocational training or courses in arboriculture, forestry, or environmental management are beneficial.
