Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance applications using Flutter and React.
  • Define and govern front-end architecture, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, UX Designers, Architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Drive modernization initiatives and adoption of reusable frameworks, components, and CI/CD practices.
  • Ensure applications meet performance, security, accessibility, and reliability standards.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design workshops.
  • Support estimation, planning, and delivery of complex digital transformation programmes.
  • Manage technical risks, dependencies, and quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to BT's digital platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience leading engineering teams in enterprise-scale environments.
  • Proven expertise in:
    • Flutter/Dart
    • React.js
    • JavaScript / TypeScript
    • HTML5, CSS3, Responsive Design
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
  • Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working in large-scale digital transformation programmes.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of mobile application publishing and lifecycle management.
  • Exposure to design systems and component-driven development.
  • Experience in telecom, digital consumer platforms, or customer-facing applications.
  • Understanding of accessibility, performance optimization, and security best practices.
