Architect – Remediation Centre of Excellence (12-Month Secondment)

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Architect to help design and evolve the technology and data platform within the Remediation Centre of Excellence.

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping technology solutions that enable our project and operational teams to work efficiently, accurately, and with agility.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge alongside strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. You’ll need to thrive when balancing strategic influence with tactical execution, influencing senior leaders while collaborating closely with delivery teams. Experience in workflow or cloud-based solutions is highly valued.

This is a 12-month secondment opportunity with flexible working arrangements to support your best performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver technology and data platform solutions that enhance operational efficiency and agility
  • Operate effectively at both strategic and technical levels, aligning solutions with business needs
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to shape long-term technology roadmaps
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure seamless implementation
  • Seek opportunities to leverage ** workflow and cloud-based technologies**
  • Collaborate in a centre of excellence context, supporting ongoing remediation initiatives

Requirements

  • Strong technical expertise in architecture, data platforms, or related fields
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable solutions in enterprise environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities at all levels
  • Comfort with working across strategic and hands-on delivery dynamics
  • Familiarity with workflow or cloud-based architectures is a significant advantage
  • Ability to balance long-term vision with immediate execution

Flexible Work Arrangements

Nationwide supports hybrid working wherever possible, fostering both collaborative in-office days and flexible home working.

For this role, you’ll spend:

  • At least two days per week (or 40% of working time in part-time arrangements) based at either:
    • Swindon office
    • Northampton office

(Off-site details will be confirmed by your hiring manager upon a successful application.)
