AI Solutions Architect – Sovereign AI

About the Role
Tech Mahindra is hiring an AI Solutions Architect – Sovereign AI to design and deliver secure, scalable, and enterprise-grade AI solutions for a leading Telecom customer. The role focuses on Sovereign AI, ensuring AI capabilities are designed with appropriate control over data, models, infrastructure, security, governance, and regulatory requirements. We are looking for an experienced AI Architect who understands modern GenAI platforms and has hands-on experience with one or more of Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and Anthropic Claude.
Key Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end AI/GenAI solution architectures for enterprise and telecom use cases.
- Design Sovereign AI architectures addressing data residency, security, privacy, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and architect solutions using Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and other leading GenAI platforms.
- Design LLM, RAG, AI Agent, and enterprise GenAI architectures.
- Integrate GenAI solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, data platforms, and cloud environments.
- Define model selection, orchestration, security, and governance strategies.
- Establish responsible AI practices including access control, auditability, model governance, and data protection.
- Work with business, engineering, security, and cloud teams to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions.
- Assess AI platforms and technologies for enterprise adoption, including build-vs-buy considerations.
- Provide technical leadership and architecture guidance across AI transformation initiatives.
- Support PoCs, prototypes, and production implementation of AI solutions.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as an AI Architect / GenAI Architect / Solutions Architect.
- Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and AI orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with one or more:
- Google Gemini / Vertex AI
- Microsoft Copilot / Copilot Studio / Azure AI
- Anthropic Claude
- Experience designing enterprise AI solutions and integrating AI with business applications.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, preferably Azure and/or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of AI security, responsible AI, data governance, and privacy.
- Understanding of Sovereign AI / Sovereign Cloud / data residency concepts.
- Experience working with APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Strong architecture documentation and stakeholder management skills.

Telecom Experience
Experience within the Telecom / Communications domain is highly desirable, particularly exposure to:
- Telecom OSS/BSS
- Network operations
- Customer service / contact centre AI
- Telecom analytics
- Network automation
- Enterprise GenAI transformation
Desirable
- Experience with Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, or Claude APIs.
- Experience with RAG frameworks, vector databases, and knowledge bases.
- Python development experience.
- Experience with Kubernetes, APIs, and cloud-native architectures.
- Knowledge of AI governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Experience delivering AI solutions at enterprise scale.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate real-world implementation or architecture experience with Gemini, Copilot, and/or Claude, rather than only theoretical knowledge.
