Senior Architect | International Hospitality | Future Leadership Opportunity
London | Permanent | Hybrid
If you love hospitality design, this is the kind of opportunity that rarely appears at exactly the right moment.
We are supporting a new-generation boutique architecture studio with the ambition, pedigree and pipeline to become one of the next names to watch on the global hospitality design stage.
The work is high-end, international and design-led.
- Design-led hotels.
- Luxury resorts.
- Global destinations.
Projects where architecture, interiors, materiality and guest experience genuinely matter.
But the real opportunity is bigger than the project list.
It is the chance to join before the growth.
To work closely with the Founder.
To help shape the studio.
To influence the culture, the client relationships and the way the business develops through 2027 and beyond.
The Founder is looking for someone with the “drive and hunger” to grow with the company… an Architect who can take ownership, build trust with clients and think beyond the immediate design tasks.
For the right person, this is not simply the next Senior Architect role.
It is the opportunity to become part of the team building what could become a significant new name in international hospitality design.
It will particularly appeal to someone who wants greater exposure to:
- International hospitality projects
- Senior clients and decision-makers
- Design leadership
- Proposals and new opportunities
- The commercial side of architecture
- How a next-gen practice actually grows
- Eventually helping lead part of the business
You would work directly with the Founder rather than through layers of management.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
And as the studio grows, the expectation is that the right person can increasingly “take the ball and run with it” … owning projects or workstreams, representing the practice confidently and becoming someone the Founder can genuinely rely on.
Who we are looking for…
Probably someone with around 5-10+ years of industry experience.
Experienced enough to have weight in a client meeting.
Still ambitious enough to feel there is significantly more ahead of them.
You may already be a Senior Architect, Project Architect or emerging Associate within an established practice.
You are likely to have…
- Credible hotel / hospitality experience
- Strong architectural design judgement
- Enough technical understanding to take projects through delivery
- Experience working directly with clients and consultants
- Confidence running meetings and representing a practice professionally
- Exposure to international or complex consultant teams
- The ability to work independently with some direction when needed
- Commercial awareness beyond simply delivering drawings
- Genuine ambition to progress towards Associate / Associate Director level
You do not need to arrive with a book of clients.
If you already have relationships within the hospitality or development world, that will obviously be interesting.
More important is that you understand that relationships matter, can build trust with clients and have the commercial curiosity to recognise where future opportunities might come from.
The Founder described the ideal person as an “entrepreneurial Architect”… someone with a little more business sense than the traditional architectural profile.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
We are essentially looking for an entrepreneurial Architect who wants greater influence over the projects, clients and business around them… and who is excited by the opportunity to help shape a studio as it grows.
Why this might appeal…
Perhaps you are already doing good work.
Perhaps you are already trusted by clients.
But there are several Associates, Directors or Partners above you and you cannot quite see how you get from where you are now to where you want to be.
That is where this opportunity becomes interesting.
You would be joining early enough to have genuine influence.
You would have visibility of how projects are won, priced, resourced and delivered.
You would work directly with someone who has spent more than 25+ years within international hospitality architecture and who is now building her own studio around a more agile model.
And if you prove that you can combine strong architecture with client confidence, independence and commercial instinct, there is a genuine opportunity to grow with the business rather than simply occupy a position within it.
The Founder does not necessarily want the finished article.
She wants someone credible now, but still “super hungry to learn and develop… and create opportunities for themselves”.
That distinction matters.
If your next move is less about another job title and more about increasing your responsibility, exposure, influence and long-term trajectory, we would be very interested to speak with you.
Apply with your CV and we will reach out to request a portfolio.
All enquiries will be handled confidentially by GRØ Careers.
