In-House Architect
Location: St Helens
Salary: £50,000–£55,000
Job Type: Full-time, office-based
We are working with an established and growing property business looking to appoint an experienced Architect to join its team.
This is a genuinely exciting in-house opportunity with plenty of projects already in the pipeline to get stuck into. The business currently has more than 140 units in live planning, alongside several new schemes at the pre-planning stage and a diverse property portfolio across the North West and North Wales.
You will manage architectural projects from initial concept through to construction, working closely with the Directors, contractors and external consultants to deliver practical, creative and commercially viable designs.

- Develop architectural concepts and detailed design proposals
- Produce accurate plans, sections, elevations and construction details
- Manage projects from concept and planning through to delivery
- Coordinate with Directors, contractors and consultants
- Ensure projects remain aligned with budgets and timescales
- Incorporate joinery, interior details, materials and finishes into designs
- Conduct site visits and monitor construction progress
- Resolve design and technical issues as they arise
- Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, safety standards and environmental requirements
- Manage several projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards
About You
- A recognised architectural qualification
- Previous experience within architecture, property development or construction
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of projects
- Proficiency in industry-standard architectural software
- A solid understanding of construction processes and technical detailing
- Excellent organisational and project-management skills
- Confident communicating with contractors, consultants and senior stakeholders
- Able to balance creative ideas with practical and commercial considerations
