Architect (Arb Registered)

KWA Architects (Cambridge) Ltd is an Architect and Planning Consultancy practice working across rural, equestrian, residential, and commercial sectors. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Architect to join our growing team and take a leading role across a diverse portfolio of projects from concept design through to delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Architect to work within a small, collaborative studio environment, taking ownership of projects, managing client relationships, and contributing to the continued growth and development of the practice.

Role Overview

You will lead and manage projects across all stages, from initial concept and planning through to technical delivery and construction. This in-office role involves close collaboration with clients, consultants, and contractors and supporting the day-to-day operation of the architectural team. It would suit a qualified Architect who is looking to take the next step in developing hands-on experience delivering projects across all RIBA stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop architectural concepts, sketches, and detailed drawing packages for development;
  • Prepare high-quality architectural drawings including plans, sections, elevations, and technical details;
  • Manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations;
  • Liaise directly with clients in a professional manner;
  • Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders throughout projects;
  • Undertake site visits and inspections to monitor progress and compliance and resolve arising issues;
  • Apply sound technical knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and materials;
  • Assist with planning applications, building regulation submissions, and project administration; and
  • Maintain accurate project records, meeting documentation, and reporting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
