Architect – Ayrshire
A rare chance to shape the future of a respected local practice.
Confero Recruitment Group is partnering with a long-established Ayrshire architectural studio to appoint an Architect who wants more than just another project cycle. We are looking for someone ready to step into a role with genuine long-term opportunity, influence, and succession potential.
If you’re an Architect currently travelling to Glasgow for work, this is the moment to bring your career closer to home without compromising on project quality, ambition, or professional growth. The studio is entering an exciting new phase, and there has never been a better time to join.
Why This Role Matters
This is not a “replace and repeat” vacancy. The practice is actively planning for its future and is looking for an Architect who can become a key part of that journey. Someone who wants to contribute at a high level, help shape direction, and grow into a position of real influence.
You’ll join a close-knit team known for thoughtful design, technical rigour, and meaningful work across Ayrshire and the west coast. Their project portfolio is varied, community-centred and genuinely rewarding.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
