Design Better. Create Lasting Value.

At Barker Associates, we believe the built environment has the power to improve lives, strengthen communities and support a more sustainable future.

Our purpose is simple: to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions that create lasting value for our clients, communities and future generations.

As an award-winning, employee-owned property consultancy, we bring together expertise in Architecture and Design, Project Management, Surveying, Engineering, and Energy and Sustainability to deliver integrated solutions across the UK.

Working with clients across the public and private sectors, our diverse portfolio includes education, residential, commercial, industrial and logistics projects, alongside many other areas of the built environment. This breadth of experience creates resilience for our business, opportunity for our people, and better outcomes for our clients.

From creating inspiring places to learn and sustainable, high-quality homes, to supporting business growth, infrastructure investment and net-zero ambitions, we help deliver projects that make a lasting positive impact.

As proud back-to-back recipients of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work Award, we continue to grow and are looking for talented, ambitious and collaborative individuals to join our team.

Role Overview

As an Architect, you will lead projects across RIBA Stages 0-7, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable design solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
