About the Role

A growing residential architecture practice is seeking an experienced part-time Architect. Working closely with the Director, the successful candidate will play a leading role in delivering thoughtfully designed residential projects from planning through to construction. The role is ideally suited to an architect who enjoys technical delivery, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and is looking to make a meaningful contribution within a small, ambitious practice.

Location

The practice's office is located at Harwell Innovation Park, Oxfordshire.

Working Hours

Part-time 15-25 hours per week. Flexible working arrangements are available with hybrid working, requiring at least one day each week at the office.

Ideal Person

The successful candidate is likely to:

  • Be ARB registered with at least 5 years’ residential experience working in practice.
  • Be proficient in our core design and drafting software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Be proficient in Mac OS.
  • Have strong technical and detailing skills with a passion for high-quality design.
  • Be confident managing projects through planning, technical design, and construction.
  • Have a sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction methods.
  • Be experienced in coordinating consultants, clients, and contractors.
  • Be a clear and confident communicator with excellent organizational skills.
  • Be self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Enjoy working within a small practice where their contribution will have a genuine impact.
  • Be looking for a flexible role that offers autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to help shape the future of a growing practice.
