Architect

A Glasgow-based architectural practice with a strong reputation for thoughtful, people-centred design is looking to appoint a design-focused Architect to join its growing team. With a pipeline dominated by social, affordable and mid-market housing, this is an opportunity to shape communities through high-quality, context-driven residential architecture.

If you care about design integrity, placemaking and delivering homes that genuinely improve lives, this role gives you the platform to do your best work with clear long-term progression built in.

A rare long-term opportunity

Alongside a strong project pipeline, the practice is entering a period of planned succession over the next 3–5 years. For the right person, this creates:

  • Genuine promotion opportunities as the practice evolves
  • The potential for future equity/ownership involvement
  • A chance to help shape the next chapter of the studio

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
